San Antonio STEM Magnet has limited number of spaces for the following grades for next school year beginning August 2023: Kindergarten, 1st, grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. Our STEM magnet offers more experiences with hands on, problem solving, creative, and exploratory experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math challenges. Information

Magnets offer theme-based instructional opportunities to students in grades K-12, living within the boundaries of LAUSD. Currently, there are 292 Magnet programs located throughout the district. All district students, including English Learners, Special Education, and Gifted/Talented are encouraged to apply.

Here at San Antonio STEM Magnet teachers strive to integrate STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into daily learning activities. STEM magnet students have access to the Maker's Space and the numerous materials available to tinker and create. 4th and 5th grade students participate on robotics teams and represent San Antonio STEM Magnet at district competitions. Our scholars learn to be leaders!

All parents who wish to enroll in our Magnet school must apply through the Choices brochure paper application, or online at:

Admission is by priority points generated by your child's application, and based on space available. Choices brochures and applications will be available in all LAUSD schools, Educational Service Centers, LAUSD Headquarters, Parent Community Services Branch, and any Los Angeles County Libraries. Applying for Magnet Programs

San Antonio STEM Magnet has limited openings in all grade levels currently 1st-5th, for school year 2022-2023. Apply through late applications, and call the school Magnet Coordinator, Mr. Little, (323)582-1250.

Any student at any grade level may apply for any magnet school in the district. If you need help with this, contact Mr. Little at the school (323) 582-1250 or by email [email protected]

New for 2023-2024

San Antonio STEM Magnet will be opening a Kindergarten class on the magnet campus. If you have a child who will be in Kindergarten next year, please apply for our exciting magnet to get them on the STEM track from the start!

We will have 24 spots for Kindergarten and 24 spots for 1st graders for the 2023-2024 school year.

2nd-5th grade will have limited availability, but please apply if you are interested.
