MATH MATTERS

Our Math standards require our students to think critically about problems and how to solve them.  Aside from understanding math facts students must master the Math practice standards which require them to solve problems in more than one way and be able to explain how they got their answers.  Please have your children discuss how they solve their problems and explain why their solution is the best.  They must defend their answers and solutions.  Math thinking requires a lot more than just showing their answer.
